Peran yang Terlupakan: Pengasuhan Ayah pada Keluarga dengan Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus di Indonesia

Abstract

Kehadiran anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam sebuah keluarga akan membawa beban dan kesulitan sehari-hari yang dapat mengganggu keberfungsian dan kualitas kehidupan keluarga. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peran ayah yang optimal. Namun kenyataan bahwa Indonesia termasuk dalam Fatherless Country atau negara dengan keterlibatan ayah yang kurang dalam pengasuhan tentu akan membuat kebutuhan akan peran ayah yang optimal dalam keluarga dengan ABK sulit terpenuhi. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya kajian literatur untuk membantu memperoleh pemahaman tentang peran ayah dalam mengasuh anak berkebutuhan khusus dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Hasil dari kajian literatur yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ayah di Indonesia yang memiliki anak berkebutuhan khusus cukup terlibat dalam pengasuhan, meskipun sebagian besar peran yang mereka mainkan adalah pengasuhan tidak langsung. Faktor yang memengaruhi adalah penerimaan anak, norma gender, kondisi keuangan dan status pekerjaan, dan kesejahteraan psikologis.
